Violín


Born in 1996 in Chillán, Chile, Israel began his violin studies at the age of nine with Carmen Gloria Meya at the Escuela Artística Claudio Arrau León in his hometown. He has been a soloist with various Chilean orchestras, such as the OSEM, the Chamber Orchestra of the Catholic University of Chile and the Symphony Orchestra of Concepción, as well as performing abroad with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra in Hungary.
He is currently studying at the Graz University of the Arts in Austria with Eszter Haffner and Maighréad McCrann, and at the Munich University of Music and Theatre in Germany with members of the Ébène Quartet. He is a member of the Kandinsky Quartet, with whom he gives numerous concerts in Europe and specialises in chamber music. He has also collaborated with the Oberton Octet, Concentus Quartett and Abad Quartett, and has performed at renowned festivals and venues such as the Lucerne Festival, the Davos Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, the Salzburg Festival, the Beethoven Festival in Bonn, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Vienna State Opera and the Chamber Music Festival in Pennsylvania, USA, among others. He is also an active member of the Chamber Orchestra Les Essences in Essen, Germany.
He has been influenced musically by violinists such as Mayumi Seiler, Gerhard Schulz, Eva-Christina Schönweiß, Kurt Nikkanen, Fabio Biondi and Gregory Kalinovsky, as well as working regularly with members of the Belcea, Alban Berg, Carmina, Artemis and Jerusalem quartets.
Israel is proud to play an Italian violin by Michaelo Angolo, built in 1783.
